1. Terms and Conditions for Returns/Exchange

Please note that we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for correctly delivered and undamaged items.

You must notify us for return/exchange within 5 days of receiving the product.

You may request a return or exchange only if:

  • You received a damaged, defective product
  • The wrong product was delivered

To be eligible, you must email us at care@otakyou.in or use the Contact Us page within 5 days of delivery and share the following:

  • Photos and videos clearly showing the issue
  • An opening/unboxing video of the parcel is mandatory
  • Items must be unused, in original condition, with all tags, packaging, and all content intact . If the product tag is removed or missing, we may refuse the return.

Items purchased during sales or promotional offers are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

For size related exchange, please drop a mail at care@otakyou.in for approval. Please ensure you check our Size Chart carefully before placing your order to avoid sizing issues. Size exchanges will incur an additional cost of Rs.150 per product.

If the packaging is visibly tampered/damaged, customers are expected to reject the delivery on the spot. If accepted, you must share images/videos of the sealed packaging before and after opening within 24–48 hours of delivery.

2. How to Request a Return or Exchange

  • Email us at care@otakyou.in with your “Order Number_returns” in the subject line or through the Contact Us page on website within 5 days of receiving the product.
  • Describe the issue and mention if you prefer a return or exchange and attach clear images/videos of the item and its packaging.
  • Our support team will respond within 24–48 hours with further instructions.
  • Once approved, securely repack the product to prevent any loss or damage during transit and write your order number on the outside of the package. We also request you to record a short packing video showing that all items — including the product, original packaging materials, and any freebies (such as cards, coupons, sleeves, etc.) — have been placed back inside. This helps us verify completeness, prevent courier mishandling, and ensure your return reaches us safely and intact.
  • The refund method stays the same as Otakyou Coins(store credit) for Partial COD & Refund to original method for Prepaid Orders.
  • If the order is refused at delivery, not accepted, returned-to-origin (RTO), cancelled after dispatch, or in any other such case where delivery is unsuccessful due to customer-related reasons, the advance 10% payment in Partial COD is forfeited and will not be refunded.

3. Return Shipping Details

We offer reverse pickup services on most pincodes. For pin codes that don’t have the reverse pick up serviceability, you will have to self ship the product(s).

You will receive all the details regarding return including the address to ship the item to via mail. Please retain the courier receipt until your return is confirmed.

4. Refund and Replacement Timelines

  • Replacements: Dispatched within 1–3 working days after we receive, inspect and approve the returned item.
  • Refunds: Initiated within 1–3 working days post-inspection and approval.
  • Please note that once your refund is initiated from our end, the time it takes for the amount to reflect in your account may vary depending on your payment method and bank processing timelines. If your refund is being processed through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking, it may take anywhere between 3 to 12 working days for the amount to appear in your account. This delay is governed by the bank’s policies, and unfortunately, we do not have control over their internal processing time. However, if the refund is being issued to an e-wallet, the credit is usually reflected within 24 hours. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
