So, what even is Otakyou?

Otakyou is built from Otaku (you know, us anime-obsessed souls 😤) and Kyou — which means "today" in Japanese...

but also comes from Kyouki (狂気), meaning madness. So yeah, we’re basically serving today’s anime madness in the dopest way possible.

We asked ourselves a simple question: What if anime could be felt outside the screen? What if the same intensity, symbolism, and spirit could be worn?

That thought became Otakyou.

What Otakyou Stands For

The name says it all. “Otaku” is who we are i.e fans who live and breathe anime. “Kyou” means “today” in Japanese, a reminder to celebrate the culture in the present. And hidden in it is “Kyouki” meaning madness representing the beautiful chaos of being an anime fan.

Every release is an attempt to channel that madness. Not just clothes, but tributes to the worlds that raised us, reimagined into wearable form.
